ASA Releases Statement of Support for the DOJ’s Recent Amicus Brief in Barnett v. Raoul that Protects the Second Amendment

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, American Suppressor Association (ASA) President and Executive Director Knox Williams issued a statement of support for the DOJ’s recent amicus brief in the case “Barnett v. Raoul” that protects and defends the Second Amendment, once again affirming President Trump’s agenda to protect the Constitutional rights of the American people.

“By repeatedly issuing amicus briefs in high profile and consequential cases involving the Second Amendment rights, the DOJ is making clear that preserving the constitutional rights of Americans is a top priority for President Trump.”

– Knox Williams, President & Executive Director, ASA

Williams went on to say, “While the executive branch reaffirms this priority, Congress is at a critical inflection point in the fight to restore common sense to our nation’s firearm policies. The House-passed One Big Beautiful Bill aligned with President Trump’s objectives by including language to remove suppressors from the unconstitutional NFA tax scheme. We continue to encourage the Senate to preserve this tax cut in the final package and deliver real relief to law-abiding gun owners.”
