IOWA: SUPPRESSOR LEGALITY BILL SCHEDULED FOR HOUSE FLOOR VOTE TODAY

House File 2381, formerly known as HF 384, is scheduled to for a vote on the Iowa State House Floor today. Introduced by State Rep. Matt Windschitl, (R-Missouri Valley), the bill passed last week 17-4 in the House Judiciary Committee with strong bipartisan support. If enacted, HF 2381 would legalize the possession and ownership of firearm suppressors in Iowa. Iowa is currently one of only 11 states that prohibit the possession of suppressors by civilians.
