The American Suppressor Association (ASA), the unified voice of the suppressor community, is pleased to announce that Gemtech, a provider of high-quality suppressors and accessories for the consumer, law enforcement, and military markets, is returning as a Tier 3 sponsor of ASA for 2019. Gemtech is one of three founding members of ASA.

As one of America’s oldest continuously operating brands, Gemtech was founded in Boise, Idaho in 1993. The company spent the ensuing 14 years becoming one of the nation’s preeminent suppressor manufacturers. In 2017, American Outdoor Brands Corporation, the parent company of Smith & Wesson, entered the suppressor market by purchasing Gemtech. As of 2019, Gemtech is now based in AOBC headquarters in Springfield, Massachusetts.

“Gemtech has been involved with the ASA since the very beginning,” said Owen Miller, Director of Outreach for the ASA. “As a former Gemtech employee until 2016, I had the pleasure of working with the ASA from a manufacturer’s perspective. I am proud to see their continued commitment to pro-suppressor advocacy as part of AOBC’s family of brands. ”

The American Suppressor Association (ASA) is the unified voice of the suppressor community. We exist for one reason and one reason only: to fight for pro-suppressor reform nationwide.

The ability of the American Suppressor Association to fight for pro-suppressor reform is tied directly to our ability to fundraise. Since the ASA’s formation in 2011, 3 states have legalized suppressor ownership and 18 states have legalized suppressor hunting. Much of this would not have happened without your support.
